Learning in the Library

Another excellent Edublogs.org blog

One hoppin’ storytime

on May 23, 2013

The kindergartners have started a new library unit about frogs.  This week they listened to the informational book Tadpole Diary Tadpole Diaryby David Drew.  Next they learned the song “Five Little Speckled Frogs.”  Then Mrs. Miliano, with the help of a frog puppet, told the story “The Wide-Mouthed Frog.”  (Did you know that the wide-mouth frog lives in Number One Pond right here in Sanford?)  After that tall tale, the children started making frog puppets of their own.  They will finish the puppets during their next library visit.
