This week we repeated three Chickadee Award nominees, but they were shared with different classes this time. The kindergartners listened to Calvin Can’t Fly: The Story of a Bookworm Birdie by Jennifer Berne. They created black starlings after the story. The first graders enjoyed A Pig Parade is a Terrible Idea by Michael Ian Black and created pink paper pigs to parade around the library. The second graders finally got to hear The Interrupting Chicken by David Stein.
