Analogies, anyone?

on May 22, 2011

Last week’s library contest was an analogies quiz.  An analogy is two pairs of words that have the same word relationship.  All the analogies on the quiz fall in the agent/action category.  For example, “Pig is to squeal and dog is to…”  From the list provided, students had to circle “bark,” the answer that best completes the analogy.  If all the analogies were completed correctly, the quiz was entered in a drawing for a stuffed animal.  There is one winner from each grade, even kindergarten!  The lucky winners are Paige (K), Kamber (grade 1), Candace (grade 2), Kyle (grade 3), Samantha (grade 4), Danté (grade 5), and Kamen (grade 6).
