This week the first graders made their first library visit of the year. They enjoyed the story Library Lion by Michelle Knudson. It tells the tale of a lion who was allowed to visit the library once he learned to follow library rules. The book served as a lead to a discussion on appropriate library and book handling behaviors. The children made library lions after checking out books.
